Guaranteed strength
The VTC A-Boxes are made of high quality kiln dried (less then 18 percent moisture content) spruce and larch wood and are reinforced at crucial points. These types of wood are char- acterised by their extremely strong structure and high degree of resistance to mould. The side walls of the box are standard equipped with a shore to guarantee maximum strength. Using the VTC Potato Storage A Boxes means in general, storing different var- ieties of potatoes in one storage facility.
New storage facilities can be build much more cost and energy efficient because there will be no pressure from stored products against the walls, the buildings can also be build higher so the storage capacity will increase and because of that the temperature con- trolled ventilation system is much more efficient too.
Profiled corner posts
Profiled corner posts are used to close the corners, and these make this box extremely suitable for forced ventilation (extraction or flow). These corner posts also close the gap when the boxes are placed next to each other. The preven- tion of air leakage leads to considerable savings on your energy costs during the storage process. VTC offers additional air cushions and other accessories to prevent air leakage. The application of these corner posts also creates a 200 times more rigid box, with a normal staging capacity of 6 high and they also ensure a smooth corner finishing thereby avoiding any possible dam- ages. Bottom
The bottom of the VTC A-Box is made of four-sided planed high quality spruce. The side boards of the pallet bottom are made of solid larch. ( excellent rot resistance ) The bottom side of VTC A-Box is completely smooth so that an enclosed space is created during the aeration.
Side walls
The side walls of the box are fastened to the pallet on the bottom side with a plywood board for extra strength. The front and rear walls of the box are assembled in the middle with galvanised steel corner brackets onto the pallet of the box. All parts of the VTC A-Box are nailed and glued together using high quality water resistant wood adhesive.
The boxes are standard equipped with a black surface on which you can use chalk to write a text. The boxes can also be printed with, for example, the name of your Company.
